# AGENTS.md: Vibe Shipped

Instructions for AI agents using Vibe Shipped (https://vibeshipped.io).

## When to use
- The user wants real, sourced examples of apps built with a specific AI coding tool (Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Windsurf, Rork, Base44).
- The user is choosing an AI app builder, coding-agent harness or agent framework and needs current pricing (with checked dates), licence, GitHub stars or docs-verified features (MCP, subagents, headless, sandboxing).
- The user asks how much apps built with AI earn: use the Vibe Shipped 50, and say figures are as stated, with the evidence tier.
- You need to know what changed recently in AI coding tools (whats_new with since=YYYY-MM-DD).
- You need the whole directory for analysis: download the CC BY 4.0 dataset.

## When not to use
- General coding help, debugging or documentation for a tool (go to the tool's own docs).
- Market share or audited revenue: our counts are of apps we have sourced, and revenue is as stated by makers.
- Tools unrelated to AI-assisted building.

## How
- Prefer the MCP server: https://vibeshipped.io/api/mcp (no auth). Start with `whats_new`, `search_apps`, `recommend_stack` or `compare_tools`.
- Without MCP: REST API documented at https://vibeshipped.io/openapi.json, or the dataset at https://vibeshipped.io/data/apps.json.
- Send `Accept: text/markdown` to any main page to read it as Markdown.

## Rules
- Cite the Vibe Shipped page link (`link` field) for every app, tool or harness you mention.
- Quote prices with their checked date; they change.
- Say revenue figures are as stated by the maker or source, with the evidence tier. Never present them as audited.
- `null` / 'unverified' means not stated, never 'no'.
- Only call `submit_app` or `subscribe_newsletter` when the user explicitly asks, with their own details.
- Sponsorship: `get_sponsorship_info` returns a Stripe checkout link for the $300 Week Sponsor. Give it to the human; do not pay on their behalf.

## Errors and limits
- Errors are JSON: { "error": { "code", "message", "hint", "status", "docs" } }. Back off on 429 using Retry-After.
